The email of my friend Norman, who I'm sure would be interested in what you are working on, is: enormvs@hotmail.com. I will be sure to pass him your yahoo address, as well.
My time at home was healing, and just what I needed to prepare myself for job searching and life ahead. I was able to finally quit smoking! I am much further along in getting over the breakup, so thank you for your advice:) I'll be headed to New York for a couple of weeks, then back to England. I'm not sure when I'll be back in San Francisco, but I hope soon. I look forward to chatting with you again. Take good care of yourself. X

"Hi Amron;
I am not sure if this email will even reach you. If it does, I hope it finds you in good spirits and good fortune!
I attempted to visit your store on Hayes Street yesterday only to learn from the store owner to the right of your "old" location, that you had moved to the Castro. Then I drove over to the Castro and looked for your store on 18th Street. Well, needless to say I did not find you. Have you relocated to another location within San Francisco or closed all together?
Even though I work in San Francisco and live in Petaluma, I usually commute right home after work. Once in a great while I will meet up with a friend of mine and we usually visit "Die Suppenkuche" (as we both are originally from Germany!). On those occasions we would always visit your store.
Yesterday was one of 'our' days and to our surprise, you no longer were there!
I certainly hope you only relocated somewhere within San Francisco. It would be so sad if you closed for good.
Hope to hear from you soon.

If you open any other ventures in SF, I'd be delighted to know about it

Sorry to hear about the Gecko Gecko closing! We wish we were there to buy a few items and support your sale! We'll be with you in spirit!
We are in Nairobi, Kenya, right now and just got back from an amazing 11-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania. We saw a ton of amazing animals and it was a great experience. We were fondly just this morning remembering our time in Indonesia and are looking forward to being back there in Jan. '08. If you are there, let us know! We hope to visit Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and back to Bali and perhaps Lombok this time. We love it there!
Hugs and love to you. Be peaceful and follow your heart!

"Hi Amron! What a nice surprise to get an e-mail from you! It makes Java seem less far away to know someone here in the states that is from there.
As you probably know from talking to Vera, I just returned from another trip to Yogya. It seems almost sad to be back in the cold and snow after being at the lovely Jogja Village Inn. The new restaurant looks great—it’s amazing how rapidly everyone has been able to put many of their businesses back together.
I just looked through your website and was so pleased by what I saw there. What vision you have! Every so often I visit SanFrancisco for one reason or another and would love to meet you and see your store.
If I understood correctly from your guest book you arranged a benefit to aid the earthquake victims in Yogya? After initially worrying about my friends there it was great for me to be able to send money to Susi and know it really reached people directly. I was reminded on this trip how much I admire the spirit and community in Yogya as people have worked to together to rebuild their lives. On the other hand it was very sad to see the devastation that still exists in Bantul. I worry for these people when the rains come, and hope they will not be forgotten.
Please let me know of any benefit events you might plan in the future, and if you ever venture to Colorado please let me know.
Sincerely,
Deb

I am very sorry to hear the news about the earth quake and your family and their home On Friday, June 26th at about 4:15 p.m, which was about 6:15 a.m. in Yogya, I called my father who also resides in Yogya (jl. Kaliurang) which is not too far from Mtn. Merapi (probably just about 18 miles). I happened to call my father just 15 minutes after the quake> I had a good 2 minute- conversation with my father, and then the phone was disconnected. I couldn't get in touch with him for 2 days and that made me very concerned and nervous. I finally got in touch with him and learned that my family in Yogya was safe. The house is fine too. At the same time I feel very sad to know that there are a lot of people and friends who lost members of their families as well as their homes. Very sad.
Is there anything that I can help?
